I have a pretty good imagination and sense of humor.  I don't know if this will help you @lolakimono but when things were going wrong to the left and right of me and when assignments and demands were falling on me like rain, I used to think to myself, you're like the silver guy from Terminator 2.

You may get knocked down Bernie but you won't stay down.

I just got an email from DressBarn that they are not going anywhere.

That's good news.

@sydsgma1   I agree with you.  Like the nuns used to tell me (Catholic school K-12), if it was supposed to be fun they wouldn't call it work, lol.

Work is one thing.  Feeling like you're trapped in an episode of Survivor is altogether different.

@SunSprite

Glad you found something at Dillard's.

At our nearby mall, I had quit going there thinking it would look just like Macy's...full of "stuff" none of it put away and sales associates not being helpful at all.

Not so!

They had a Tommy Bahama display with blinged up sweat pants (lol) and three bling tops (in very good taste...subtle bling I should say) a black one with tiny sparkles only running downward from the neckline. Matching scarf for that grouping filmy material in a pattern.

They also had The North Face hoodies and/or half-zips in an iced pile beautiful colors.

Here is a hooded raincoat by Trina Turk...a real wow.

@sydsgma1

Thank you.  There have been several departments under her that have been switched around.  I guess since we are less important, we are still "stuck" with her.  A "core" department is with her, and communicated to the principal that they could not work with her anymore, and he commented that he didn't have any more departments that he could rotate through her. I have gone to my content boss and mentioned that she could benefit from some observation training for languages, since that is not her background.  He reached out to her and offered to come out from the BOE to do just that, and kind of do "hands on" training via walkthroughs of the things that indicate that WE (as language teachers) are doing our job, but he literally got NO RESPONSE from her, which at a minimum is unprofessional.
