I wore a "Thin stincts" type undie (instead of a slip) for DD's wedding six years ago... it was paper-thin and didn't bind.  I got mine based on the rec of Nordie's... really nice.

My issue with tanners is just based on me... really have never found one without a smell and because of the mess... the fact that they don't work with my skin (no change of color) I just gave up on them.
