I don't have a gift closet, but sometimes I pick things up as I see them, even when there is no "occasion."

For my baby mama friend, who is also a crazy cat lady, I picked up an extra cat umbrella from Nordstrom that I posted about earlier.  Her birthday is in Dec. so it might be birthday or Christmas.  I figured it might be sold out by the time I would remember to check it out.  

I do that with scarves too, or sometimes when L'Occitane has a deal.  I have given scarves as a thank you to co-workers, or when I think someone needs a pick me up.

Interesting side story on the Today show there was a piece about Christmas shopping, and cutting down the list featured.

  One thing was get rid of obligatory gifts, I thought well that puts a dent in the Q's business, they prey on buy for the bus driver, this one, that one idea.

At least the spanx colors are all dark
