The FUNNIEST compliment I ever received was from a drunk dirty old man (picture Festus from Gunsmoke). He walked up to me, took a big sniff, and said: "You sure do smell purdy! You smell like one of them stick-ups!"

LTT, I changed my mind to tall boots then saw the bag. I have a pair of riding boots (St Johns Bay from JCP several years ago). When I thought about the tall boots at 6pm (also riding boots) I asked myself, really how often do you wear the ones you have now? Seriously maybe once or twice a year. So then I said - why buy another pair of tall boots when you could have a new bag that you will use more?

In summary - probably no boots, more likely new bag.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Last year one of my students paid me what she probably thought was a great compliment. She said, "Mrs. R, I just love you! You remind me of my grandma."

I know that's how she meant it and I was touched by the sentiment. It seems, though, that it was just yesterday they were comparing me to their moms.
