Hubby okay?

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

@Bird mama

This week (since my voice returned) I had detailed conversations with social security--doctor's office--etc.

Will be glad when my Medicare takes over in March.

I will sign off and thanks for the chat everyone!

@LTT1  I grate three bars of Fels Naptha in my food processer and mix with a box of borax, a box of super washing soda and 2 lbs of baking soda.  I use 1-2 tablespoons per load.  It lasts a long time. It's hard to track exactly how long it lasts me, because I always give some away, but I think it's been about a year since I last made it. This time I'm going to put a date on my container so I can better track it.

Some recipes call for adding scent crystals and a box of Oxyclean, but I have to be scent-free at work, so I leave it out.  I only use the oxyclean on whites, so I don't add that.  Also some recipes call for the whole 4 lb. box of baking soda, but I only use half the box.  I think the baking soda is for softening.  This is low-sudsing, so it is safe for HE washing machines.  I also use vinegar instead of fabric softener in the rinse.  Clothes are clean and smell fresh.

Thanks for this recipe...what do you use for a container as this sounds like a lot of product.  What is "super washing soda"?  I'm working on going more "green" in 2017 and trying to get rid of the chemicals.  I love your vinegar tip.

Good Morning @LTT1

The SAT is ONE of the ways they can meet the graduation requirement for Reading. The can either pass the state FSA, or get a concordant score on ACT or SAT.

A few of today's group just received a passing FSA score and will take it for college, but the majority need to pass in order to earn a regular diploma.

Seniors are running out of time as they are done in May.
