If you use the buckles on the child seat to hold your bag,, it will be hard to snatch.

For me what bag I have depends on what I'm doing.  If I am traveling for work i will use a backpack, it's easier to carry my computer and iPad. If I am personally traveling it will be a tote that I carry over my shoulder. If it's just a regular day then it's probably number two or 3 regular handbag.
