Re: $51.72 for sweatpants!!!!!

Her prices have shot up and up. She used to be the queen of the $40 item, now thats up to $50 or more. I've noticed the D & C is pricing around $40 too. Can find better deals at Macys without the s/h.

And she rarely has tall length pants. Agree with the prices and God awful shipping...

Did they call them "sweatpants" on air? They are so not my style, but they look much dressier than generic sweatpants.

Susan Graver French Terry Straight Leg Pull-on Pants

Whatever she's calling them, they don't look like $52 worth, with QVC's S&H factored in......

Re: $51.72 for sweatpants!!!!!

Doesn't matter - not all sweatpants are created equally. We have to choose. Lots of people want to pay less, but don't forget many actually pay far more. Just because I think it's a crazy way to spend my money doesn't mean the friend I traveled with a few years ago was stupid for spending over $1000 for what amounted to sweatpants and a hoodie!

Her wallet is way different from mine - even when she shows up to play cards in a neighbor's home, she's often wearing $100,000 worth of jewelry. It's worth a laugh once in a while when she points out to me that I got her to shop Chico's once in a while; maybe I should turn her on to Susan - those sweatpants would be her go-to-market wearables more than likely!

Re: $51.72 for sweatpants!!!!!

I have spent the last two years looking for warm sweatpants that aren't skin tight. I used to find them at JC Penney's but they only sell the thin ones now. Hard to admit - but I finally found some wonderful sweats at Duluth trading - ran me $59/pair - but they had coupons for 20% off and free shipping. Love these sweats and I didn't have to order a size large to fit over my hips.

They're really not sweatpants though.

French terry IS sweatshirt material. They ARE sweatpants.

Sweatpants are a style - baggy with either elastic or ribbed banding at the ankle. They can be made out of terry, fleece, cotton jersey. French terry is a fabric that can be made into any type of garment.

These pants are casual knit pants with a straight leg.

It doesn't matter what they are made of. These are a straight leg pant.

People pay much more than $50 for pants no matter what fabric they are made from.

I'm sure they're much nicer than a typical pair of sweatpants that you would find at Wal Mart or Target.

IMO - sweatpants can be any style of pant made from SWEATSHIRT fabric. French terry is sweatshirt fabric.

Just for giggles, I checked Lands End. Their Starfish pant is $39 for reg & $45 for plus. Have to remember all sizes are the same price on QVC.

I tried those Starfish pants once years ago. They were horrible. Very lightweight and thin. I returned them. There are only a very few things I will buy from Lands' End anymore.

That being said, I am on the Lands' End email list and they often have sales with a big discount. No such thing at QVC.

Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else. Margaret Mead
