3/4 for me, I always roll my long sleeves up.  Very rarily to I wear my long sleeves all the way down.  Even in winter.

I like long sleeves. I don't care if they are too long because I like to pull the sleeves down over my hands, especially if my hands are cold.

I got rid of most of my 3/4-sleeved tops. I found that I wasn't wearing them as much as I thought I would when I bought them.

And I have skinny arms so pushing up doesn't help,they slide down.

 I prefer 3/4 length sleeves.  I always push up long sleeves, which I think looks sloppy, because I can't stand them. So what is the point of a long sleeve if I'm going to push them up and hate the look?  LOL

I'm also petite and 3/4 sleeves work best for me.  They also are better when I wear a bracelet.  I drives me nuts when a top catches on a piece of jewelry.

Being 5'9" most 3/4 sleeves are elbow sleeves for me.  Most long sleeves are 3/4 sleeves for me. Seldom am I able to find a long sleeve anything with sleeves long enough for me.

While I don't like 3/4 sleeves, I often push up the sleeves on my clothes.
