In the latest of "You gotta be kidding me" moments on the Q, from the $300 lobster tails to $250 boots they had the nerve to present a tote bag tonight for almost three hundred dollars. I had to turn the channel to HSN. Ive owned a Lands End Tote cloth purchased in the 1990s for about $45. Still functional. Curate is wondering why sales are slumping?  Its instances like this.

I presume you are talking about the D&B bags, that line has always been very expensive. The TSV is 400 dollars, but that's about right for a small appliance of that quality.

Good grief. It is not the end of the world if someone pays that amount for a bag...first it was sandals now it is a bag...I don't see anything nervy about it ,prices have changed a lot in 30 years

Obviously you don’t know...there are many people who have

enough $$$ to make a $279 expense seems like your $45.

I don't understand why, if some want to spend $279. for a tote bag, it should be any business of yours.  Why do you even care?  It's  not your money.

HSN sells the Dooney bags too, for the same prices. That's what makes the world go around, that we all have the choices to buy what we want or don't want to buy. And shop where we choose.

@Reever $275 is a normal price for a fine leather tote.  It is not the same thing as a Lands End cloth Tote purchased in the 1990s for about $45.  If you are able, you may want to visit a modern department store and take a look at the merchandise.

Have paid more than this for a tote. This is not unreasonable especially if it's leather!
