I don't do trends - just occasionally pick up some "current" colors for accessories. With my hair back to its natural brown/silver/white color - I'm experimenting with some colors that didn't look good on me as a blonde.
I have a certain "look" that I've had for years - it works for me and is easy to adapt for most occasions.
I've ordered a whole stack of new "silky" turtlenecks for layering under sweaters and jackets. And one new "dressier" jacket in a turq/black/metallic paisley.
I have a closet full of DB coats - so making some new accessories.
I can go just about anywhere with what I have in the closet by switching my accessories.
My only "big" purchases wthis year are from the yarn store. I'm knitting and crocheting as fast as I can!

@Chi-town girl Also, bold jewelry is making a huge comeback. Many examples of that at top houses.
I have found some necklaces at The Real Real.

I guess I have lived long enough, and have followed fashion trends thru out the years, that none of this is really new. Jewel tones, Shearling, Equestrian, Rocker Chic, Preppie Chic, Leather, have seen it all before.
Unfortunately with the way things are, I would think these designers would be taking big hits because where can people go? I guess they can fly on their private jets to be w/the other elites and stay in villas and such, but this has got to be a small minority of people.
The 80's rocker chic pictured here doesn't look like any 80's rocker chick that I've ever seen. However, all the models do model the clothes beautifully and look fabulous, but its just nothing that I haven't seen before. That's when you know your getting old I guess. ![]()

Actually, I'm kind of happy to see plaids and shaped blazers back, but like @jellyBEAN said, it's really nothing new. For me, the leather-looking jumpsuits are a waste and I'm definitely not interested.

"What's old is new."
I've been dressing "Like a Boss" men's inspired style and "Equestrian" for as long as I can remember. Both classics.
Jewel tones are always in style, especially for those with Winter coloring.
Shearling...around for years.
QVC knows all about colored leather.
Preppy and Ivy League...think Ralph Lauren.
Cutouts and asymetrical styles...yep, I have seen those before.
80's rocker...big shoulder pads are everywhere on the runway this year.
Plaid is another trend, except it's been a classic longer than I can remember.

I’m old enough to have seen trends come, go, and come back again. I’m also the age where I know my style & what I like. Still, I like looking at the trends each season. It’s just fun fashion discussion.
Here’s my comments on the trends this fall.
- Jewel Tones - Like, own, and wear
- Cutouts - Might consider subtle ones around a neckline
- Shearling Outerwear - No
- Asymmetrical Sleeves - Never been a fan of asymmetry in any form
- Colored Leather - I stick to neutral colors. I currently own black, ivory, & burgundy. No leather jumpsuits or pants for me. I’ll stick to jackets & maybe a skirt.
- 80's Rocker - No
- Like a Boss - Like menswear inspired clothing, especially blazers
- 80's Prep - Like preppy casual styles
- Modern Equestrian - Like equestrian details. Love a good riding boot.

@ECBG - I love bold jewelry! Accessories can make or break an outfit. I usually plan outfits with accessories weekly - gives me a chance to circulate different accessories rather than wearing the same pieces repeatedly.

Appreciate all of your comments! I think trends serve a good purpose - nice to see new takes on previous trends or a true retro.
I'm not one to adopt/follow any or all trends - but I do like to sport some of the new seasonal colors or styles. Accessories are a good 'update' option especially if it's a vibrant color or bold pattern,

@ROMARY - this white dress? It appears she's also inspired a 'want' for small floral/ditsy print masks!
This lookalike is from Amazon $14
I like the Asos brand - this one is from Asos
Reminds me of...This one is MINE - from Target, the recent Designer Dress Collection
