I had to look up that necklace. The Audrey original is 1961. The resetting that Lady Gaga is wearing is the fourth resetting.
The setting for Gaga is beautiful. The setting for Hepburn is stunning!

Not fashion related, but this thread is going fast and furious. It just dawned on me Bette Midler was Lady GaGa back in the day. She too was nominated for an Oscar ( won a Golden Globe) for her first role in The Rose. I liked Jennifer Hudson's song but Milder sang hers just straight out without all the vocal acrobats.

I'm completely underwhelmed and disappointed. Most of these actresses work hard to have great bodies to dress.
Except for a few, Regina King, Amy Adams, Michelle Yeoh, for example, these gowns are a total miss, actually a mess.
If a stylist can't even pick out a color that suits the skin tone of the wearer, how do these stylists get to the top of their game ?
I feel bad fo these actresses, being told that this looks "fabulous" on you and then being paraded out there like cattle, just looking awful and having the world tear them apart. There's a lot of stylists that should get their a** fired this year.

Many of the ensembles look quite different on the telecast from the still photos on the red carpet (colors, etc.). I like several of the dresses chosen.
