I totally had that pant suit this the zipper in a different color and also one of those gold bangle watches. Wow!

My mother had a pretty long red plaid dress like that, that she wore every Christmas.

Oh my goodness, that orange, black and white striped pantsuit looks like prison garb.  No way!

And words fail me on the final three dresses (?).  They look like quilted bathrobes.  Or is that what they are?

@Venezia  lol when I think of everyday wear of the 70s I picture floor dragging wide bell bottoms and halter tops.

@cheriere - I'm glad this was a fashion "era" I missed.  I don't like any of them.

I could deal with the orange set, if it was in a more muted color (like navy)!

And the one in the plaid get-up with the black bolero looks like someone from the Von Trapp family.

@Venezia  lol The 70s was very eclectic when it came to fashion...anything goes. Hippie style, Disco solid gold flash, to Diane Von Furstenberg haute couture wrap dresses.

I spent all of my teenage years in the 1970's.  So whether I like it or not,  those fashions, in a sense, seem right to me. Like when you hear music of a certain era, the same thing, it can bring you back and make you feel you're home.
