As the saying goes, Everything Old Is New Again!!!! Even the dresses that are so popular on the Q remind me of the granny dresses of the sixties/seventies!!!!

I don't know what/which beach you've been to lately but in my neck of the woods those 3 *young* women would be wearing thongs & bikini tops unfastened and/or hidden. I would consider those 3 *young** women to be over dressed for 2023.

I don't know where you go but I go to the pool everyday and there is not 1 person that is dressed in anything close to those outfits.

those outfits would not be beachwear, but they MIGHT be streetwear in 2023.

I love it!

Even when I was in my younger years, I didn't wear bikinis or thongs because I never felt comfortable letting anything show. I wasn't a prude by any means but wearing bikinis 👙 wasn't for me.

Now my friends on the other hand wore itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikinis.

My first two piece swim suit covered my belly button and had my dad's approval 🙄

HUH!! I wore skimpierdaily clothing in then70's and 80's and bikini's.

Heck daily shorts I wear are not much longer!

I have seen what you describe for some time, but only a few. It isn't the general population.

These ladies are wearing short shorts, not bathing suits. It's used as the cover of Life magazine, but younger women did wear tight short shorts in the 50's, a bit risque for that decade.
