I did keep my dress.  In 2004 our first grandchild died (unexpectly) days before her first birthday.  From my train I made a dress for her.

@lulu2 oh that is so sad but a loving tribute to make a dress from your dress to  honor the short life of your precious grandchild.That must have been beyond painful but you wrapped the little baby in the love of family.

Yes, the1935 gown is long with jacket.
