The scarf is sheer and does not feel silky.  It would make a great belt/sash, or for the outside of a coat.  From the product photo, you can see that it is doubled, so it reads "darker" than it actually is.  It would be appropriate for spring I think- it doesn't appear "heavy" in person.  It is final sale, so I want to make sure that you are understanding the comments.
