I only have a roomette which doesn't have a private toilet. But each sleeper car has it's own bathroom on each floor, so I'm not too worried about that. One guy reviewing it said he'd prefer the roomette because there is no toilet odor in the room. LOL......

That trip from Detroit to NYC sounds HORRIBLE. Glad you survived it though.

Report from the front:

The wedding Sunday night was nice, it was fun catching up with old friends who are more like family.

B's surgery was 3:30 PM Tuesday it took more than 3 hours but they are hopeful that the repair will lead to full mobility.

He was in the hospital overnight and has been home since Wednesday, he has a brace keeps his hip in check when he is mobile.

It is going to be a long few weeks, but every day he is moving better and feeling better.

We just found out from the doc that they expect him to be home until the end of the Summer.
