looking for wireless earbuds that my DH can use when he is mowing the lawn, riding his bike, snowblowing, etc. When I look online for them, it still shows earbuds with wires. He definitely wants blue tooth and I can't find them. Hoping you can help...TIA beanie

They're out there but still expensive.
Beats by Dr. Dre is one brand. I have them and they work well.

Bluetooth has to be within 30 ft. to connect.

I figured since she asked about mowing the lawn and other activities close to home, the Dr. Dre would work. I use mine when I'm gardening.
There are a few new brands that are newsy, but not yet available. I think this is the next big innovation?

Also be careful of inexpensive Bluetooth stereo headsets. Some are for phones only and often they only tell you in the tiniest part of the fine print.

Beanie, thanks for raising this. I have a question. Does this mean you can carry your Bluetooth iPod touch with you and have no wires to it and the headphones will work?
I was looking for good quality headphones with inline controls for volume and track ... Don't care about phone. These may be a substitute. I have Bose without inline. I like them but the reviews of Bose inline controls are not good. I get that I am comparing apples and oranges about the inline.
Gardensia, do you like yours? Good quality sound?
Sorry to go OT beanie. LM

I am thinking of getting some by Beats. HSN carries them but I actually saw them at WalMart for $50 less. I think the ones I like are called Powerbeats.

Yes. Some have wires that go behind your head but do not connect to your device with a wire - nothing thumbs against your chest or tangles when you run. Others are wireless and just pop in your ears, but those are very new. There are a few new ones that were being shown at the January Consumer Electronics Show, but some were still prototypes because they're that new. I'd wait a generation before I bought a pair of truly wireless earbuds.
Pairs like the Beats have the wire that's worn behind your head. I like this design because of the hook that goes around the ears. Almost all earbuds fall out of my ears when I move around a lot, so the idea of spending $200 of things that I might lose 20 minutes after opening the package scares me a lot.
