Win11 is really not much different than Win10 when you're using it. But what is different is the elevated security features mostly. It offers better cyber security with safer surfing. I believe that was the biggest reason for the upgrade...to patch the security holes in the previous version.

My desktop updated in October or November, evidently is wasn't an issue. My laptop is throwing fits on certain sites, Ready to deliver that computer to the bottom of the reservoir at the end of our property.

Guess it's a good time to try out 11 in the next week or two. Hope upgrading is as easy as everyone says!

Thanks PA Mom for the wise efforts! I hope to begin the change tomorrow.     Hope it's as easy as everyone makes it seem. LOL

If you have installed a good virus protection program on your computer besides the one that Windows provides, there's no need to panic about upgrading to Windows 11 right away. Your computer will function just fine. I used the previous Windows system for over a year after the upgrade announcements for Windows 10 before I actually did it. That's what I'm still using now. The virus protection I use is Malwarebytes.  I'll probably go to Windows 11 eventually but I'm not worrying about any "deadline".

I did install Windows 11 yesterday--started it at 1 p.m. and by 10 p.m. it was finished---wow--forgot how long a process installing can take. So far things are ok--had DS come over to help out--there maybe a few weird things to tweak but he will do that. Another thing off my to-do list!!
