Earlier this week my IMac quit working, it was the power supply and several posters offered support....I am happy to say that the new part arrived on Thursday and Friday a friend installed it for me. It took him 2.5 hours because he had a terrible time getting the back off the monitor, it was not an easy job. Once he got inside it was also difficult to get to the wires to detach the power source but a couple of hours later it was back together and running. I was so happy to get it running again and that I was able to meet a couple of deadlines that I was under at the office.....it was a stressful week.

I could have avoided this latest shut down of the computer if I would have tried to buy the part on my own (2 months ago when the problem started) rather than listening to two different apple stores.....they called my IMac vintage and that parts were no longer available, so I took them at their word but when it went down before we had a change to figure out a new game plan I was desperate and just looked for a power supply on my own...I was shocked to see that I could buy one and the one I got came directly from Apple!! Who knew! Anyway thanks again for assistance with my issue.
