ultrabook versus laptop

I really need a new laptop. My current one has to be around 4-5 years old.

I want something light to take to work, with a keyboard. Tablet and IPAD aren't what I'm looking for. Chromebooks don't have a harddrive. So it's between a laptop or ultrabook.

Anybody recommend one? Maybe you recently bought one and really like it.
