sorry guys help with panimage tablet

ah sorry but i need help with this item...please im horrible with electronics...my tablet says screenlocked its been like this for a while... yes its a present i was able to program a wireless pword and now it says screen locked and now when i try to go on the net it says not connected and it also say something about scanning and it remembers my password.. why does it say that?/ i can use my computer just fine...cant get through to c.service...it also seem s to go through battery life pretty quickly as well i did notplace a sd card into it yet i dont know if thats causing any problems...i just wanted this all set up for my sister for christmas but just in case i bought her a backup present.. thank you guys so much
