about a week ago i figured out how to hook my desktop printer into my network so that it could be used wirelessly with our laptops. it was working fine until two days ago it suddenly shows "offline" all the time. for some reason if i shut down the desktop (which the printer is connected to) this happens. as long as it is on there is no problem. checked HP website - i have to shut down the computer - unplug the USB cord from the printer and the tower. wait a few seconds then plug it back in then turn the computer on and then it shows "online" again. it is so very frustrating! does anyone have any idea what is causing this and how i can fix it?
