I bought this set years ago from Costco.

I still had a landline, but paired my cell phone to it so that no matter where I was in the house, I could answer my cell phone since I am one of the last 5 people who do not have their phone attached to their hand or in their pocket ;o)

I don't understand why people have to make the declaration they don't have their cell phone with them all the time?  Is this suppose to be some type of badge of honor?  Does it somehow make you superior to those people who carry their cell phones with them?

Carrying a cell phone in a pocket doesn't mean you are attached to it.  It's a convenient way to have a phone with you if you get a call or otherwise need to use it.  Nothing more.  Geesh!

We recieved the phones but haven't connected them yet. We both have had colds and brain cells are low . Smiley Happy

I want to thank all for their input.

@anin @fthunt We are seniors but so far do not have a need for an emergency system . I think  these have some method of alerting your relatives if chosen and we have Alexa which can be programmed for this purpose.

@glb613I believe @VaBelle35 was making a light hearted remark about people and thier cell phones --probably why the smiley at the end of the remark.

I am not condemning users of cells that have them with them all of the time , DH does. Of course technically if you have it in your pocket you are attached to it. Woman Wink

Personally I find carrying one around my own house uncomfortable and doing the grunt work of a housewife/homeowner = using a garden hose, shoveling snow, cleaning I have dropped my phone with the possibility of ruining it. I prefer not to do that.
