Any one buy this? I have used a Trac phone for years and quite happy with the cost and economics of it , but longingly wish for the ease of the old flip phone. I think even though my new web connected trac phone still works I will buy this model. My eye sight does not allow me to really enjoy it and voice recognition is iffy.
This model has large buttons ,emergency button on outside ( you decide the #) , a camera that is easy to find and triple minutes . It will fit in my pocket. I use our computer for the web and also have an Amazon fire .
I know I will gets some laughs when I use it... but laughter is good for us all.
I was going to skip it as I saw it late at night and was too tired to investigate yesterday. I see the offer is the same currently though.
Anyone have input ?

My flip phone was ruined when the woman totaled my car in December. In February I asked my son to find a new cell phone for me. He did and I began learning to use it. To my surprise, even my dexterity problems are OK (except for texting). However, I don't like the big size of it and I miss leaving it in the car 24/7. (My old flip phone lived in the car without harm due to the extreme weather fluctuations of Nebraska. This one? Not a chance of surviving the temperature changes.)
Will be interested in how you like the Doro Flip Phone. I could easily go back to a flip phone if it could still live in my car 24/7 and is still small.

Consumer Cellular has had this model for a while now. It has a lot of favorable reviews...you might want to check them out.

My flip phone is 11 years old & still works great, it was free with a Tracfone card purchase so I went with triple minutes...really like it so never upgraded. Watched the video & like that the Doro keeps it simple, has an emergency button, transfers what's left on current Tracfone, keep current number or change, has triple minutes & it's a flip. Decided the Doro fits my wants & needs so I ordered it on HSN & for those who don't shop there, it's sold on the Tracfone website for more with only the changer included. The only thing I don't know is if you have to activate within a certain time period, with some phones you can wait until whenever you're ready...I like to wait until my current phone dies, I know it's silly but I'm attached to the old workhorse.

Don't have the Doro but go for it. Sounds like a great little phone. I still have a flip phone, tracphone --- LG, which is great. It is cheap, simple and dependable and serves my needs. I am probably 1 out of a thousand people who still use these things, maybe the odds are even higher. Oh, well.

@okaywitheasypay, I was unfamiliar with this phone so did a search. You might find this article of interest. Carrier service in your area might influence your decision.

@Marp ty for the link . For myself I have looked into the consumer cellular and have an aquaintance who was with them and she said every little thing had to be paid for. This was when they first started though. I so agree with the 'why pay for things you do not want ' , though.
I have had an Samsung Tracphone for several years and am so happy with cost. I just do not need to have every function on it and only use for emergencies and to find DH in large stores when we are shopping
I live in a large urban area that pretty well covers every carrier.
The HSN buy seemed a great bargain for all that is included. I am looking forward to getting it.
@BirkiLadyI know on news reports lately we were advised not to keep electronics in cars because of heat and I know where I live harsh winters can kill phones left out long . I wonder if there are any small insulated bags or items that would help preserve the phone you like to keep for emergency ?
@kitcat51 I thought of waiting for my current phone to die , I am usually quite frugal. I was too tempted personally at being able to use the spaced apart buttons , smaller size phone , simplicity, and the outside button that I can call DH easily.
I appreciate everyone's input.
Another reason I like Tracphone is I shop Kroger's and get $s off of gas from buying a card there -- not a bundle but it helps.

@okaywitheasypay That was the beauty of the old, old flip phone! It could stay in the car 24/7 for months (maybe a year) without have to be charged! I live in bitterly cold (and 100+) Nebraska weather; the temps do fluctuate a lot here.
I'm already finding my new cell phone needs charging at least once a week (sometimes more frequently) simply due to its own "thinking". I would not consider leaving it in the car. It's not made of metal; thus, the plastic is not as durable to withstand the elements and it has too many electronics constantly using up power all by itself even in the most insulated places (the hidden compartments) of the car. It now lives in my purse.
Formerly, I used to just grab my small wallet and keys when I wanted to go. Now I must always carry a purse to hold the cell phone due to its large size and the inability to leave it in the car in all weather! Crazy, what modern technology has done to our lives.

@okaywitheasypay, the primary reason for the link I supplied was to call attention to Consumer Cellular using the AT&T network rather than any available network so you can verify that the AT&T network works well in your area.
Although Consumer Cellular is available in my area family members that tried it were disappointed due to poor reception and dropped calls. They quickly left. It is an AT&T problem here not Consumer Cellular's.
Friends in a different location in the same state are thrilled with Consumer Cellular.

How do I like it -- great! I recieved it 2 days ago. It is simpler ! It has a camera ,text capable, larger buttons, clear sound, fm radio (
) ,charging cradle, car charger , & earbuds. @BirkiLady It is smaller than the andoid phone I had but larger than when flip phones were first on the market--You can check HSN for measurements. I just keep mine in my purse , pocket , and bedside so do not know about keeping in the car.
It fits my needs.
