I have the 4th generation ipad 64GB wifi/4G bought in 2012. having trouble-screen started fickering and today kept shuting down but I was able to get it back up running. It shuts down on games such as Hay Day and Candy Crush seemed to be fine n FaceBook. Now this evening I cant get it to come on at all. I have pushed both buttons but nothing. It is fully charged-any suggestions or is it toast. I live 3 hours away from any Apple store.

Have you tried a reboot, where you hold down the home key and sleep key at the same time? You hold them down until the apple logo shows. If that does t work, you can try a total restore. Let us know if you need directions for that. It would be like reverting your iPad to new.

It's still flickering after the reboot? Do you have all apps closed? The only other thing I can suggest is a full restore, taking back to factory settings. Is that something you are interested in trying?

Well, you could wait to see what others have experience this, and have suggestions. In the meantime, you could do a google search to see if others have experienced the same, and see what they did to fix it. Just put into the search field, iPad shutting down, or maybe flickering is a better word. My only other suggestion is to do a full restore to factory settings, but I am not an apple technician. I just play with gadgets and can usually figure out how to fix them. You could always visit an apple store to speak with a technician in person, but I understand you said it's 3 hours away. I guess maybe it's worth it, and you could make a day trip out of it.

It onkly fickers right before it shuts down. not sure how to tell what apps are running and what isn't.
