iPhone newest update 16.5 question

I updated my 8th gen and 9th gen iPads with 16.5 update and no problems.

I have an iPhone 11 to update but saw problems online with the iPhones. Running down the battery fast was one.

Has anyone done their iPhone update yet?
Thanks.

I have a 14 - auto updated - haven't noticed any changes. None with iPad 9th gen either.

Re: iPhone newest update 16.5 question

I had that problem with all phone updates. I just stopped updating my phone. My iPhone 13 is a year old and when I did previous updates, pretty see the battery was starting to drain. I don't do any banking or any business online with my phone, I'm just going to leave well enough alone. It seems like an ongoing problem with Apple, even though they claim it's not. It's always been a battery drainer for me.

I always do the updates asap.  I use my iPhone 13 and iPad Air 4 for work as well as personal.   I have never had a battery or other issue on any iOS device since the beginning.

On the contrary, I have found (& so have some of my coworkers) that if I don't update asap, some apps or websites don't match up correctly.  We are constantly getting emails to auto update our Apple devices to avoid security issues and preserve function.

The 16.5 was a security patch that came out the day after the full update.  It fixed an issue that was found.  That's why one should always update.  There are sometimes issues that are uncovered that are fixed by the next one.
