Since my iPad 2 is acting up (like someone else appears to control it), I chose not to buy a book and read from it.

The other solution is my iPhone 5S. There is a book that I do fancy to read and I would like to know if any of you ladies is been using it as a book reader the iPhone.

I know it's a small screen, but I am looking forward to "hear" from you as using iBooks with the iPhone 5.

Thank you and I am sorry for my English (I am foreigner)

I never had the 5 but I read on my iphone 4 for years without any problems. Now I'm mostly reading on kindle paperwhite but I do read on my iphone 6 plus sometimes.

I read on my iphone 6, before I got the phone I read on an ipod touch. I read more on the phone than on my Nook.

I have both -- iPad and iPhone. I do use my iPad for reading almost all the time. However, there have been times when I have been at an appointment and don't have/didn't bring my iPad. In that case I use my iPhone to read. I can sync it to the furthest page read on the iPad or read a different book altogether. Yes, the screen is smaller but it's nice to be able to have something to read while waiting. Hope this helps.

Yes, I sure do. There's more scrolling and page turning, but the reading experience is otherwise just fine, and there are times when my iPhone is all I have with me. I love the fact that it syncs the page I'm on so I never have to hunt for my place when I flip from one device to another. But no need to take anyone else's opinions. Just download one of the books you already own on to the iPhone and try it!

Why don't you reset your iPad and start over? It's simple to do and can cure your problems. Do a backup to either iCloud or your computer before you begin.

That was the reason why I bought my 6+. The 5 I was using really was too small for me, and when I expanded the font size, I would only get about 2/3 of each line of text in a typical book. I LOVE my 6+, and I'm hoping to use it for a LONG time.

I have read on my iPhone5. I have the 6 now and will read on it on vacation this summer. It's handy because it's always with me, but I prefer to read larger formats--a real book, kindle. The ipad is a little heavy for reading, but it works too.

Why don't you buy another iPad? I brought an iPodTouch on Black Friday. It is an amazing little device. I brought it to use as a remote for my internet radio. I could use it to read a Kindle book.
