I remember years ago the size of telephones and more specifically phones that did not use telephone lines to connect to one another. The "in thing" then was to make them smaller and smaller and smaller.

Don't know what changed other than better technology, but the pendulum now seems to have swung back to "bigger is better". Kinda reminds me of what I've heard about clothing styles. "If you wait long enough they will come back in style".

A guy into everything techno, but cell/smart/dumb phones are not one of them. At the rate things are going with size, won't be long and those into these "i things" might be talking and looking on what is now considered a good sized tablet.

One thing I know for sure I will never buy is the iPhone watch, or whatever they're calling it. LOL

I think it's ridiculous, and they are starting to resemble ipads. Plus, they're clumsy looking. They're becoming too big to clutch comfortably, even for men's hands.

I hope they're clumsy enough to finally get people to put them down while they're driving......sorry for the rant, but I was almost driven into the ditch earlier this week merging on to the interstate because a woman was talking on her cell phone and with no other traffic around refused to move to the left lane to let me merge.....I hit the horn and then I saw her quickly put down her phone..........it wasn't a teen, it was a 50/60ish lady.

Larger phones will not influence inconsiderate people to change. But I can tell you hula girl that people here do not move over for you to merge. You frequently have to wait while the crowd passes and then gun it. But this is Louisiana, and you have to take that into consideration.

As for phones, I definitely want to look at the larger one. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I need all the size I can get to see the screen clearly. I plan to wait a while, though because it seems to me that there are always issues with the new models when the first come out. In a few weeks I want to look them over and see how the larger one feels in my hand. As long as it's comfortable to use, I will definitely go larger. My 4S is really a bit small for me.

I have small hands, but I am glad apple is finally coming out with a larger phone. I like a larger display for web surfing and looking at pictures. Also it will probably be easier for me to text. But the most important thing for me is that I will hopefully be able to find it quicker in my black hole of a purse!

As our local morning radio talk show host said today, "More crapple from Apple."

If I want bigger, I'll get an iPad Mini! A cell phone, in my opinion, should be small and compact in order to handle and store it away easily in your pocket or purse. I thought the whole idea was to get away from the big clunky cell phones of the 1990's.

The big, clunky phones of the 90s were only phones. You did not need to screen to view a map or fit a keyboard. Smart phones are completely different things and have evolved into things that, for some, replace computers. They need bigger screens.

I'm good with the current size, but Apple has lost customers because they've moved on to the larger screens. They need to adapt, which means we will, too.

Just gave my iPhone 4, which had been working great, a bath so have to get a new one. I think I am going to stick with an iPhone 5s because I don't want the larger size of the iPhone 6. I have a Samsung 4s for personal use and working with it and my iPhone 4 taught me that I really don't like the larger size of the Samsung 4s for daily use. In my opinion bigger is not always better.

That is great that there is choice! The bigger is better for a lot of people who are sight or mobility challenged or need to work away from the office. I will be getting one and there is a 90 percent chance it WILL be the bigger one.
