Has anyone bought bought the iPhone 11 from Tracfone and set it up? I want to order it as I need to update my Tracfone to one with more memory than the 16 go I have on my older LG Tracfones. It should be simple as just putting in the SIM card and setting up and transferring my data with an app.

They just got it back in stock and I have always had great service with Tracfones.

Thanks for any input you have.

If you're in the Apple ecosystem then it would be a good option for you. If you're not, then one of the Tracfones in the Android ecosystem with more memory might be better for you. QVC (and HSN) sell multiple Android phones with more memory than the 16 GB you have now. My Motorola G Stylus has 128 GBs of memory. The new Samsung A32 has 64 GBs and is a 5G phone and on sale for $199 now. If memory is your big concern, there are lots of interesting options out there.

I have 2 iPads and love the Apple products but want to stay with Tracfone as I always have excellent cell service. Since Tracfone now has the Apple iPhone 11 back in stock I can transfer all my data etc. to it with the transfer app.

If I could find an Android phone that has an excellent camera etc. I would buy one. I just wanted to be sure an Apple Tracfone would pair over as easy as the Android does.

Have a great day and thanks.

I didn't know that Tracfone had that apple phone--I was using tracfone for close to 15 years and brought most of my own phones that I bought unlocked with no problem--then I bought an 11 to bring over and had nothing but problems with every thing related to it--finally changed to Xfinity and the problems stopped--this was just last year.

Re: iPhone 11 from Tracfone

[ Edited ]

I had a 5 year old Samsung Gallaxy J7 and decided, rather than buy a new phone and new camera, to just buy a really good phone.

I bought an unlocked iPhone 13.  I was able to transfer all my minutes/text/data from my old phone (had a LOT), but since I was close to the expiration date bought additional "minutes"

All the old data, text, minutes were removed once I bought new minutes since I went to a "smart phone"  The minute card I purchased was for $20 with 1gb, unlimited minutes and texts and expires in a month.

I did find a switch on the iphone where I could tell it not to use my 1gb to assist my phone when in an area of low reception. BUT I LOVE THE PHONE!

My BF who has a Samsung Tracfone, told me he has to use the same plan.

When you order the phone, it'll come with a sim kit and instructions. Since you alreadly have Apple products (iPad), just do a backup from your iPad and the apps will transfer over to your new phone when you sign onto your new iPhone. Also, backup your data from your old LG Tracfone.

BTW, I hope you already ordered your iPhone from Tracfone because it is out of stock. (Although I would just order the 128 GB from Apple).

I would look at an unlocked iPhone 13 from Apple. I know the phone is expensive, but new.

Tracfone can place a phone on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile.

T-Mobile runs most of their service on 5G. The company has poor 4G service in some markets.

I have Verizon and my 4G service is fine for now.

AT&T should have great service too.
