When I update my iphone I have errors with my apple watch.....g'rrrrr. I am not tech savvy and always have to make a trip to a tech to get things straightened away and get them and working and synching properly.

I updated my iPhone 11 and my 8th gen iPad and no problems. I will update my iPad 9th gen iPad in the morning.
No problems with either of them.
Thanks for the feedback.

Tried updating my 5th gen iPad but pop-up says can't update unless some apps temporally removed. Don't know if that means apps will be replaced once update is finished, or apps will just stay permanently deleted. Can't risk it so have not updated. I know I probably need new iPad but nothing wrong with one I have and still looks brand new. Seems like Apple's way of forcing us to buy replacement product, unaffordable for many of us seniors.

Back up your iPad first then update. If something goes wrong, you can restore it. You should be doing regular backups in case something goes wrong.

I've no idea how to back up any device, but will see if a grandkid can help me with that. Thanks.

You need to learn. Apple products are easy.

@CJC , go to:
1. Settings on your device
2. Your name at the top
3. Find iCloud
4. iCloud backup
5. Make sure it's turned on and look for Backup. It should show when the last backup was. If Backup is turned on, it usually automatically backuos when charging.
Hooe this helps. Anytime there's an arrow, there's more information. Also, if you go into Apple Books, search for iPads, you can download free "manuals". Sometimes, you can find answers there.
