Re: iPad With or Without 2 yr Contract

You can sync the ipad manually over the USB cord to a desktop. I have an app that requires me to do that to sync the files with my desktop version. It won't sync over the cloud.

Why would you need a two year contract (or any contract at all) for an iPad? I'm confused.

If you want to be able to use it on 4G, if its wifi it will only work at home or at a hot spot

You don't need a 2 year contract. You can enable 4G then cancel as you no longer need it.

Exactly. No contract needed. Pay as you need to.

It depends on the wireless company. This is information about Verizon

I have Verizon and it's month to month. The only people I know who have 3/4 G with a contract, bought the iPad that way for a lesser price or it's their only internet service.

Re: iPad With or Without 2 yr Contract

Thanks all. My next stop will be the Apple Store. I went to Best Buy this afternoon, but I guess they were all too busy to wait on me. That's OK. I think I'd rather go to Apple anyway.

You will get better service and from people that know the products inside out at the Apple store.

Yes, I checked you can buy a Pay as you go plan. I use my smartphone while on the road with VZW.

Exactly. My iPad mini through Sprint was $199 and two year contract with my phone. $15 per month
