iPad Question

I finally decided to buy an iPad. Does it come boxed up like a Kindle in the sealed cardboard where you have to zip it open so you know it's new & not a return? They only have one place in town where I can buy the iPad 3 & want to make sure they are not giving me a return. Otherwise I need to order from Apple. TIA
