I just got an email from Apple touting all of the advantages of upgrading to the IPad Pro that is available now to be shipped in a few weeks.  I love my IPad and wouldn't mind this bigger one with the keyboard to add to my iPad Mini and iPad Air.

It looks like the keyboard can be used as a cover but looks less protective than their other covers.

My first thought is to wait and see what the reviews are on it before I buy one.  What do you guys think?

Even though the reviews I've read from bloggers have been really good on the iPad Pro, I think it looks HUGE!  But, of course, I haven't seen it in person yet.

It does look huge.  I'm sure the display is great. My MacBook Pro retina display is wonderful. Unfortunately, the games I like to play make it run too hot.  I barely use my iPad so I know I won't be buying it.  My sister probably will since she uses her iPad almost exclusively.

I really like the look of it- want to see it in person.  I've been thinking about buying an ipad mini though (I have a full sized ipad) and I can't do both.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Thanks for the responses.  Well, I googled a lot yesterday for pros and cons of buying it and I found nothing bad.  Yes, it is bigger but that's my main reason for wanting it.  Right now, at home, I use my iPad Air most of the time because my computer has issues.  When I go for doctor appointments, etc, I take my iPad mini.  But the mini script/space is too small and you can only have so much of the page showing at a time.  I never use the mini at home, almost regret buying it but it was my introduction to the iPad world.

I just got instant approval for their interest free loan for the IPad Pro.  Just want to finance a little more then half the cost of it so that will work for me if I decide to purchase it.  I have the IPad 4 and it works great.  I also want to see the Pro in person.  I'm wondering if it has a longer battery life then the IPad 4.  If it does, it will be a definite purchase for me even though it's over priced.  I still think it's the best tablet on the market.

I actually wanted to get the Pro for my husband for Christmas (he'd use it work and home), but he's quite happy using my old iPad 3. I have the first iPad Air and am waiting for the iPad Air 3 to be rolled out, as for me, I think the iPad Pro would be kind of pain for traveling. I like the easy portability of the smaller (regular) iPad. Rumors are the iPad Air 3 will be released in March...fingers crossed.

I believe that it has the same battery life, @BlingQueen022.  Go to the Apple website and you will see a side by side comparison of all of the iPads.  I like the keyboard but not crazy about it as a cover since this iPad is very thin.  Not that I intend to transport it....it would be strictly for home.

Hi there MmsFoxxie:  thanks for your response.  I just got finished watching the films on it.  It really looks really nice.  I love the fact it has a huge screen on it.   I never took my IPad4 out of the house.  I'm only interested in having the Wi Fi with it.  Scared of somebody stealing it or worse yet dropping my purse, etc lol  I much prefer to keep it in the house.  As for the battery life, I wish they would have improved that.  Running videos sure takes a lot out of the battery.. My IPad4 runs great right now.  I do want to see this new one in person and see what it can do.  So I guess I'll see if I'll purchase it or not.

From what I saw there is a 32g wifi one and a 124(?) wifi and 3g(?)?  Sorry about the details, just had a quick look.  I don't like that there is nothing in between.  Is 32g big enough?  My iPhone 6+ is 64.

Way pricey too.  Will be interested to hear comments from a purchaser.  I would definitely have to see this before buying.  LM
