having internet connection problems

2 years...so this would be “Old” or insufficient modem from ATT (it might be junk)

iPad Pro having issues it was new in September

So an ATT REPAIR person will be out today, and one way or another, it will be fixed. Maybe we will purchase our own

i hope that he gives you a new modem....w/only 3 lights on it!

I had problems w/old one,  after a few phone calls,a serviceman came..  Iwas told it was ok..but i didn't believe him!

Next day it quit...no lights on..nothing...called again and was told a service man would be here in 2 hours!

When he came i told him it wasn't working..he told me that he knew it  as they were having problems with that modem and he had a new one for me!

I asked why other service guy didn't tell me that  it was bad and give me a new one that day??? Duh...his reply he didn't know it ...huh?

A week later I took it to the UPS store  to be sent back..for proof it was returned as i only had a few days and it was close to Christmas!..and would you believe..i was told i was 5th person to come in that morning to havet  one sent back!

Please post what happens after your serviceman leave.

I will post after he finishes WHEN he shows up today.

We have been through this three times already in the last 2 years. Yesterday when I called (malarkey) the man said there was a more current update, so he updated us. Today it isn’t working again. I am on Internet thru linking with my phone. $$

So we shall see.

What kind of internet connection do you have...dsl or fiber optic? If fiber optic is available in your area then get it. My speeds went from about 20mb to five times that with the fiber optic connection and I have not had any problems with it either. @LTT1

The repair man has missed the appointment, so far.

The ATT man came and fixed us up!

We needed a new “tower” (modem)... he said that the WIFI antenna was going out. He said that in the newer models the WIFI and modem (?) are in the same unit now.

He was very nice, helpful and seemed knowledgeable.

He also said that we could get greater speeds package for about what we are paying now... so that is worth investigating. I think I learned a lot, but I’m not sure I will remember any of it! 😂

They called it fiber optic  when i first had it installedc.".but"  none  is in our area.!

Now its reverted back to AT&T universe name.

Mine is also a modum type with wi fi.

I hope yous contiunes to work for you.

Since i have  my new modum..so far no problems.
