Installed on my iPad and iPhone with no problem.

Me too on my Ipad. As far as my phone goes, believe it or not, perhaps I'm the only one left on the face of the earth but I still have a flip phone! Lost my old one back in the fall so most people would upgrade. Not me. Didn't know if flip phones were even still available but YEP! So got another one.

Good, glad to hear that. I've heard from a few people I know who say they've had lots of problems with it.
These are people who know all of the ins and outs of computers. My daughter is on her computer all day. It's her business. She's made me promise not to mess with it.
She comes in contact with other people across the US and some in other countries who are very upset about it and are having various problems.
Before you ask, I have no idea what the problems are. I don't know much about computers. I will listen to her though.

I updated my phone as soon as I got the notice. I had seen on the news that this was a very important update and to do it immediately. I've had no problems with it and haven't heard anyone else say they have either. Usually we hear about problems on this board.

This upgrade addresses the Meltdown and Spectre security flaw, affecting both PCs and mobile devices.
There is an earlier thread here about Meltdown and Spectre.
Did a cursory search, and apparently this iOS update only mitigates the problem so more security updates will be necessary.
The main problem I read about is performance slow down.

I updated my iPhone and both MacBook Pros a week or so ago without any problems. One MacBook runs Sierra and the other High Sierra. So far, so good in all cases. (Fingers crossed!)

I also installed it on my IPAD and phone. Had no issues.

I updated both Ipad and iPhone with no problems. Actually, the iPhone works better now. The previous update caused me to have to reboot every time I turned the phone off for a few days because when I turned it back on the screen was frozen. Now it doesn’t seem to do that anymore.
I would still have a flip phone too, if our phone company still supported the old 2g. Since I had to get rid of the old phone, I thought I’d try a smartphone, just to try and keep up with some of the new technology. I don’t really need one, but I do use the “smart” features more than I thought I would. But that doesn’t mean that when it’s time for a new phone I won’t go back to a flip!😀

Glad I do not own a Apple product anymore. Android rocks no pain of the a--updates. Flip phone? Do they still sell those things?
Thought they got rid of those things in the 90s
