I don't own this, but just looked at the specs.

AMD A8, quad-core, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive.

While, personally I am not a fan of AMD processors (I prefer Intel), everything else looks pretty good. If you are just using this for average use it should work well. You should be able to do multiple things at the same time, however, when virus scan or windows downloads are happening, you may notice some slowing. But not nearly as slow if your secs were less than this.

One other thing I would do, take these specs and look online to see pricing. My experience is that TV sales add software add on items for free, but you pay a price for it. While they say these items are free, they jack up the price from what others would sell just the unit without the extra add ons. So in the end its not really a savings.

Go to Dell website, and click on the build your own section. Put in the specs and see what the price is without all those crazy extras.

Also, just click on your google (or whatever browser) and put in - AMD A8, quad-core, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive - see what comes up. You may see other stores, or other brands, with same specs at a much better price without the add ons.
