I love my samsung chromebook! I feel like it was designed for me.
It also has good reviews.
This is the second one I've had. I got a new one when the older ones were no longer supported by google or something.
The first one I had was an acer about 10 years ago but they do not have the best reviews now.
At Walmart the 11.5" is about $115.
How can you beat that?

im also about 15 or 20 min away from a best buy.... so if something does go wrong with it.. im sure i can take it there, even though i bought it online....

I own a Lenovo desktop Windows 10 computer and a Lenovo Windows 10 laptop. Both are terrific workhorse computers and trouble free for the 3 years I own them. I had some questions when I first bought them (both purchased at Costco) and Lenovo's tech support on the phone helped me greatly. They were patient and thorough.
I am very satisfied with the Lenovo brand and I'd be confident to buy one of the type you're seeking. There's only a $30 difference between the two brands you are considering, so I don't think you'd have to choose the less expensive one if you have less confidence.
I don't know what was reviewed that you read about the Lenovo brand. It was a spin-off company from IBM. It makes sturdy, reliable, modern computers with good brands of chips and solid state drives. They sell machines for consumer users as well as commercial establishments.
I'd buy another Lenovo if I were computer shopping. I'd recommend it to friends or family and you, too. Best Buy is an excellent retailer. They have knowledgeable sales people. Ask their opinion between the two Chromebooks you are considering.
I would not buy an extended warranty from Best Buy, but if you buy a Lenovo machine and feel you want extra protection, you can buy an extended warranty directly from Lenovo after the sale. Lots of information right on the Lenovo website. Look up the model you are considering and read customer reviews.
Hope you enjoy whatever you buy and have many happy hours of reliable use.

recently got one from walmart at an excellent price, with fast shipping.
not as good as my traditional laptop, but for the low price it was a good deal and a nice backup.

I don't have a chromebook, nor do I have any Lenovo products - but I just wanted to say to check the pre-Black Friday and Black Friday sales . I always see great prices on chromebooks and am always tempted - even though I don't need another computer!

When they are very cheap it's because the End of Life is just a few years away. EOL is when Google won't send it security or software updates and you can't get technical support.

All Chromebooks stop updating their software, including security updates, and so the older models will stop updating sooner than the new ones. Short-date Chromebooks go on sale b/c of that.
What you can do to check the expiration date is look for the model number and cross-check that info on Google's Chromebook Auto Update Policy (Google owns the Chromebook patent). There you can search for the make and model in the long list of Chromebooks posted on that site. It will tell you the exact date the Chromebook is set to stop updating.
Just b/c it stops updating doesn't mean you can't still use a Chromebook. But you will be vulnerable to cyber attacks and security breaches so the device should not be used.
I own three Acer Chromebooks. I love them. I bought them b/c they were top-rated.
