best ipod for a 13 yr old.

My grandson has a phone albeit no a smartphone. He has an ipad but wants something he can work out with and listen to music. What is the best or most reasonable ipod to purchase. There's so many. One day I will get him an iphone but not now - no point in young kids having everything!! His ipad was for school, btw.

So, if someone could suggest something that doesn't break the bank but is good to download maybe from itunes, I'd appreciate a suggestion. This is for Christmas so I'm kinda in a hurry Smiley Happy
