Re: Yahoo Email problem.

I haven't seen that message, but I do get signed out of my yahoo email occasionally and have to sign back in.  There is a two step process which is entering your password and then entering a code they send to your phone.  This only happens on my laptop and never on my phone or iPad.   Not sure if this helps, but maybe.  Also adding this I just found.  🤞🏼

@SouthernBee - I've been having problems with Yahoo! mail all week! I have it bookmarked, but when I open it the page doesn't load. I get a blank page. When I open another tab I usually get an error message that says, "Sorry we're taking so long. Try basic mail." I click on that bar and nothing happens. Then hours later it loads on the original page. It's frustrating!  Smiley Frustrated

I was "assigned" to Yahoo when Cox dropped their email option.   So far, I haven't encountered any challenges.

@Tori3569 @beach-mom @Desertdi : I am totally confused. I can use my email on my Samsung phone. But the same email account having the problem on my Amazon fire tablet. This is so frustrating. I prefer to check and use my email on my tablet because it is bigger and easier to use.🙄🙄🙄😯😯

@Tori3569 @beach-mom @Desertdi : I googled my problem: Able to use yahoo email on cell phone but same account on Amazon Fire tablet receiving error messages. Suggested to remove app and reinstall. Under my settings the only option is to force stop? Scared to try this. But I cleaned my cache and history and no changes.🙄😯

Ok. I just tried the force stop and nothing changed. I still have the error message.🙄

@Tori3569 @beach-mom @Desertdi : I have a big mess. Tried to change password on line and nothing worked. Received phone number to call Yahoo. I was talking to someone that said it was a yahoo paid service for help.. Talking to lady trying to help me and we got disconnected.

Then noticed on my Yahoo account screen: Need 2 step verification but already had that : then try other options add: one - push notifications, security key or authentication app. Nothing worked.!???? I don't know what to do next.

Yahoo has been, um. dickering... around with yet another 'new' format. It came up automatically a few days ago and I hit the button to revert to the prior format. They asked why, I told them. On top of that they've recently revamped their many ad formats to include larger ads, motion and, in some instances video. In other words, they seem intent on ruining what was once a preferred email source, as all of these changes seem to have impaired functionality. Some of what users are experiencing might well be at their end, as they toodle with what used to work nicely. Perhaps waiting a bit and then rebooting your computer or device might help. Who knows. Such a shame, the Internet is not what it used to be.

@stevieb : Thanks for the information.

I started another update account and everything processed. Then received email from Yahoo that I needed to install the Yahoo app on my device. The error messages disappeared.

This is what I have on my home screen but do I need the app?
