Starting January 13, YTTV is raising their monthly rate $10. Go to your account online and act like you're going to cancel it. Before the last screen, you should get a pop-up offering a 6-month extension of the current price. All you have to do is click that, and voila! You'll also get a confirmation email. Just did it myself, so I know it works...

@Ainhisg. Thanks, I'll try it. that's a big increase for which I wonder how it's justified.

Thank you so much for passing this information on to us. I received the notice of price increase and thought I should start searching for a new streaming service.
I'm not married to YouTube (I am a creature of habit and miss stations assigned a channel number) but I didnt want to add that to my plate right now!

@Ainhisg. I tried it and all I got was my cancelation accepted. I really didn't want to cancel. Maybe they'll send an email offer.

Oh, no! I am so sorry! That stinks. I belong to a YTTV Facebook group, which is how I found out about it, and people are reporting that it is working for some and not others. I guess you'll just have to resubscribe. Boo that it didn't work!

@Kachina624 I just read on the FB page that people are saying you have to do it through the webpage and not the app. Others said they did an online chat with google, and the rep gave them the offer.

@Ainhisg. I just clicked on the cancel button in the email I got.

Here is a new YouTube video on how to click through the screens to get the extended offer.

I think I'll probably go back to Sling for $60 a month. (Who will no doubt raise their price soon.) The orange and blue combined give me what I watch the most. They don't have as many channels as YouTube TV, but they have ESPN and the NFL Network which are two of my most watched channels. Saving $23 a month is pretty handy. I don't watch a lot of non-sporting TV these days. I watch a ton of normal YouTube though. Saving $23 a month without giving up too much makes sense for me. I moved from Sling when they had a big dispute with NFL Network and dropped it for a bit. It might be time to move back.

I was going to try this, but knowing my luck it will cancel. It's either pay me now or pay me later so I will leave things alone.
