Am I the only one having a problem with this Windows update?
There were 4 or 5 Windows updates this morning. Ran them on two desktops and one laptop. No problems, the downloaded and installed successfully.
Then tried the next laptop. Downloads and Installs fine. Then when I click restart now, It's failed the system configuration in the restart three times.
A window came up after it finally restarted. There were three suggestions. I put "troubleshooter" in a search, clicked on fix problem as it said to. That didn't help. Downloaded and installed "System Readiness Tool" and that didn't work. The only suggestion left is to turn off security. Not sure how safe that is. The computer it's failing on is the only one of them that has MSE(Microsoft Security Essentials) for protection. The desktops have Vipre and the other laptop AVG.
I'm running out of options here. Does anybody have any suggestions? Is it absolutely necessary to have this update?
TIA
