Why so much? Outrageously priced! Sharp Slim Sound Bar SB60 System E271464


I ordered the SB40 Sharp Sound Bar and Bass Unit E275301, in November 10,2013 for Christmas. It arrived a few days later and as it was a present for the family it remained wrapped until Christmas. With holidays being what they are we did not get around to connecting the speakers until New Years week. It was DOA. I called Sharp and after 30 minutes on the phone they recommended that I return the unit for another. I called QVC made all the necessary arrangements and shipped the unit back, repackaged as though it were never opened, on December 30, 2013. The arrangement was that I would be shipped another unit, the same as I originally bought. My return seemed to take forever to arrive at QVC, it was only 600 miles more or less to NC or far less than 100 to PA. depending on which service center it was going to. Over a week passed and I noticed online that the Sharp Sound Bar I ordered and returned was no longer available. It was available when I returned my DOA unit. Hoping my replacement was reserved I waited for a notice from QVC. No notice or communication just a refund.

At the same time there was another Sound Bar with exactly the same specs for $140 more than I paid. I asked why the difference for the exact same thing but received no answer. Shortly, the spec of the second sound bar changed and so did the price. Wow did it ever change. The Sound Bar that was available was now $559 it was $349 when the specs were incorrect and they used the cheaper model's information verbatim. . $349 is a fair price but $559 is way out of line. Best Buy offers this Sharp Sound Bar SB60 with wireless sub for $249 less that half the QVC price, the Sharp web shows the SB60 for $499, ans Amazon $330 plus free shipping. Knowing that a return for replacement was on its way QVC never set aside a unit for a customer who purchased a defective Sound Bar in early November and no one ever asked me if I would like to exchange for a different model. I am very disappointed with the way QVC has handled my Christmas gift. The new outrageous pricing will have me buying elsewhere. Shame on you folks. You've made this far more difficult than it needed to be.{#emotions_dlg.mad}
