Whisper synced Books on Amazon Are Getting Harder to Find! And Few PDF's With Audible!

I tried to buy TWO newer books today and Whispersync them with Kindle and Audible, and neither were available for that connection.  Also, neither of the books had PDF files on Audible to see the photos.  But both books were available in Audible and Kindle formats.

I have found this to be the case a lot recently, and I wonder what is going on.  Have any of you had this problem?  I want to see the pictures and maps and such!

I'm sorry to hear that. I'll occasionally buy a book, but typically all my books are through Kindle Unlimited. I'm a voracious reader, so it's a constant thing of downloading and returning books, and I never have any issues with my downloads. I just downloaded 5 books as recently as  yesterday.

I have the Kindle App on my iPad.

Re: Whisper synced Books on Amazon Are Getting Harder to Find! And Few PDF's With Audible!

I have only made use of Whispersync between Kindle and Audible twice. It was useful but accidental both times. Generally speaking, I don't want to pay for multiple copies of books and will just go with Kindle or Audible, not both, even at the discounted price. My real exceptions are for hardcover books I buy to get signed by the author while I buy a digital copy to read or listen to.

Not all books have the PDF attachment. If you're noticing books you want don't have Whispersync or the PDF, you should contact Amazon/Audible and let them know. If there's no demand, there will be no supply.

I recently purchased The Secret History of Twin Peaks and it came with  PDF file.

Whispersync in this case has nothing to do with the downloads. Amazon and Audible are sister companies and some books come with Whispersync that allows an Audible audio book and a Kindle ebook to be synchronized. That means that I can listen to an Audible book in the car on the way home and then pick up the Kindle on my nightstand and set it (approximately) the same place I left  off with the Audible version in the car. It's a nice option, but not widely available. If you buy a book with Whispersync from Amazon or Audible, they give you the option of getting the audio or ebook version at a deeply discounted price.

It's a nice option, but I usually prefer to "read" two books at once - one via my Audible app and one via my Kindle. It's usually not a problem unless the two books have a character of the same name (happened to me once) or I'm reading two books by the same author who has a very distinct style (also happened to me once.) Then it can be confusing, but I've read more than one book at a time most of my life, so it's usually not a problem.

Re: Whisper synced Books on Amazon Are Getting Harder to Find! And Few PDF's With Audible!

Audible wrote me back today and said they are having problems keeping up with making books Whispercync because it is time consuming (?) and they are working on getting the entire library with both the book and audio.  So HOP to it I say!

Recently I have come across several new and more popular books that aren't synced.  Which is upsetting!  It usually doesn't cost a lot more to get them synced.
