Where do I find apps on the iPhone?

I've got an iPhone 4 and love it. I'm not using it to its potential, that I'm sure of. But my sister has an Android and has an app for shopping. She's able to pull up stores in the area and find special offers...she got a free full-size lotion at B&BW, and lots of good stuff. Also has one where she can scan in her frequent shopper tags from CVS, Wegmans, etc... so she doesn't need to keep carrying those little things around, she can pull them up on her phone and scan them in. The iPhone doesn't have a "Shopping" option for finding things like that.

Can anyone help me find them?? The instruction booklet with this phone was ridiculously small. My old Samsung EnV phone from 2 yrs ago had 146 pages!! Sure it was big but you could find anything. Help, please....!
