I guess you have seen by now that Windows t0 is now on QVC with many choices at sale prices.  I am wondering if they plan to have a TSV with Windows 10 any time soon.  They have a One time only on air now but it is 15 inch screen and I use 17.  I also need to do some research on which type processor is best now.

Any IT people here, would appreciate if you have any updates on what is not considered the best processor.  TIA

wait until august. The computer they were demoing on the air had Windows 10 insider preview 10162, not the OEM version. They are trying to get people to buy it now before 10 goes OEM. Once it goes OEM which I think is this week, you will start seeing machines in all colors and processors and what not. This presentation with Dell was a test to see if it would be popular.

When I need a new computer I use a benchmark site to compare processors. It really does not matter whether you buy an i5-4000 or an i7-4000 series processor. The i5-5000 or i7-5000 just came to market recently. These run a little cooler in a laptop.

Just an FYI if you've been a beta tester, Microsoft just released the final version that will come out on July 29. it's version 10240 and is RTM. No longer beta.

HSN has Windows 10 being shipped in new HP laptop on August 8th. They can be pre-ordered now. This will be Saturdays TSV. It has a new Intel Pentium processor with good ratings online.

I love the blue and it has a backlit keyboard and Ethernet port. 1TB Hard drive, 8GB Ram, and DVD/CD drive. It doesn't have Bluetooth but for around $10.00 an adapter can be purchased. I may being buying this myself. My laptop is almost 4 years old.i emailed HSN several times to get what specs I had a question on. Just a heads up as I love their Easy Return labels if needed. They said it goes back to them not the vendor. Less time to get your credit back when returning.

FYI.... HSN has a TSV coming up Saturday.... HP 17" Touch, Intel,  8 gb, 1T for 699 / 6 easy pay.....  am  seriously thinking about it.   #438-099 is the pre-sale number to check it out.......you can order now, delivery first week of August.

I too would like any input on the HSN special for saturday. It really has everything I wanted but after trying to compare prices online I cant seem to find another computer with that particular configuration. So I'm not sure if its truly a great deal or not.

I bought a Toshiba laptop in October.  It has Windows 8. 

I got a pop up today about a free upgrade for Windows 10.

Just as a follow up, I finally got the Window 10 pop up for the update on my taskbar, & I registered for it, so I guess I am set.

Apparently one of the updates from June didn't install which is necessary on your computer for the Win10 to install later this month. I did some detective work on my automatic updates from Windows and when I saw that one had failed, I ran auto-fix, then ran updates again and it appears that's what I needed.

I would really like to take advantage of the HSN TSV (I prefer HP and this two+ year old is a Dell, but......) I will probably hold off for awhile to see how this works and give Win10 time to  work out the inevitable "bugs"  

Of course a "girl" can always change her mind at the last minute.....
