What in the World is Causing This Problem with My Computer?

I was typing along, and all of a sudden a screen popped up that said that my filter keys had been or should be activated. I must have hit something weird on my computer. I have Vista. Then when I tried to type again, my keyboard was not working. I had to reboot for it to kick in again.

Any ideas, you techies? Thanks!
