Was this a fib or did I misunderstand?

A few weeks ago they ran an HP computer on a special sale price.  The selling point was there would not be an HP TSV this year because they couldn't buy enough computers.  Then this weekend, lo and behold, there was an HP TSV.

i dont know how long ago the special sale price was that you saw, but the TSVs are posted a month in advance via the program guide and some of us post the full schedule here in the QTALK forum.

@depglass I can't wait to get a new laptop -  but I haven't really listened carefully.  I sort of remember an HSN laptop "last of the year," but I can't remember why I walk into my kitchen let alone what some host said weeks ago.

Someone will know.

It would totally depend on the network, specifications, accessories and terms of the price.  Cant work with generalized statements for this.

@millieshops

QVC has a HP TSV for sale. This computer with 4GB of RAM will be slow.

When I need to buy a computer Notebookcheck.net rates laptops on a list by price and use.

Re: Was this a fib or did I misunderstand?

Some of the hosts tried to explain this.

Weeks ago they absolutely said there would not be another HP laptop TSV.  Every host that day made that statement.

Yesterday, they said HP was able to come up with sufficient components to put together the new TSV, surprise...surprise.

Personally, I believe virtually nothing they come up with. But I hope everyone enjoys their new laptops, whenever they bought it.

Re: Was this a fib or did I misunderstand?

The explanation is that QVC changed the schedule. The original December 7th TSV was scheduled as KitchenAid, then they replaced it with the Shark TSV which was supposed to be the 14th. Then they put the Shark TSV back on the 14th and the HP Computer on the 7th.

@depglass

I was thinking the same thing, and yes more than one host was not truthful or they were not aware. However, several of them mentioned that there would be no HP TSV this year, and then yesterday they have one.

@Nuttmeg TY.  I really don’t know what I will choose when I buy, but I bought cheap with my current machine.  Turns out cheap is expensive because I expect to replace it long before it dies.  Certainly not interested in 4GB of any brand.

and when I do buy I will try first to buy locally.   I am among those who will lament the loss of good local shopping sources as the new normal eventually develops, so I keep as much of my spending local as I can even now.
