Now, when I try to load pictures straight from my SD card they go to one drive instead of to the Pictures area !   Anyone know how to change that back to going to the picture area.

with One Drive you go back in time to DCIM root and MP access. Have to delete that stuff . 

My notification area is showing notifications, but, you can't open them. Right and left clicking does nothing.

The Windows window pane , now, you have to right click on  and lot of options are gone you have to go to 'run' and type in what you want to find like your 'Pictures', 'Music,' etc.

what a ************* mess !!!!!!!!!!   I uninstalled all the updates, they just put 'em back in there. So, you don't have control of your own equipment!

I knew when it took an hr to download their latest updates I was in for it and I was. Happened last Thurs. Soon as it was over I tried to put my SD car in the slot and all of a sudden I had to use one drive instead of my simple way I had always used. going straight to the PIctures area after clicking on Import. Then, I noticed all the other stuff had been damaged too. It's over for now.

I have not had any problems  with windows 10 at all. 

I would hold tight.  Often windows will come out with a patch to fi any thing wrong with a previous update

I have Windows 10 and really like it, however, my computer tried to upload the new Windows Anniversary Edition, WHAT A MESS!!!  It took over two days and nothing happened, so I called a microsoft tech and they tried to help me via remote help nothing worked, later in the day two more techs tried doing the same things and nothing. The final tech told me that I need to do a clean reinstall of Windows 10 as something from that install went bad. That is not a good idea as with all the frustration from the first time of hours of waiting my laptop might land out in the front yard. I'll take it to a computer repair store and let them figure it out.

Thank God somebody who understands my misery.

Girl, that's all you can do is take it to shop and pay somebody. Cost me 140 to fix mine.  I think when they attack your computer and disrupt your life they should have to pay for it then they would stop that s*it.

 I never call any kind of support. I don't understand foreign languages.

I just take one for the team, load up and pay up.

Makes me sick........

My next laptop is going to be a Mac!!  I've had it with PC's and Windows!.

Well, folks, after paying 140 for the repair. I went to insert my SD card into the pc today and it's back to where it was before. Not letting me use the card at all and when I click on the emoticons in 'my pictures' area, no animations at all and I get the same message as when I try to upload pics something about " remote operation has failed".

I called up the place that fixed it , it's still under 30 day guarantee, thank God and he is gobsmocked. Don't think it's a Windows 10 update problem again. MIght be a Dell update problem though.  Think U can turn them off , though.

sigh.................never ends for me. I had to disconnect and pack up a 2nd time in a week or so and take it back to the shop. My husband is the man in the pic. LOL

It's still in the shop I'm glad others are leaving Windows too. I'm not alone I guess.

I'll probably get a Mac Mini and ditch the tower. already have the keyboard, monitor and mouse.

Hope , I don't have to buy a new camera,scanner and printer to boot

I guess I am lucky.  I upgraded two laptops from 7 to 10 and have no issues.  I bought a new tower with windows 10 and they are all running great.  The only issue I have is that my printer won't work.  @SharkE   Dells stink!   No wonder your having issues.  LOL  I noticed on my computers that I upgraded that in the settings it gives me an option to go back to windows 7.

I've been watching youtube videos on the plus and minus points on the Mac Mini and one thing I didn't think about was I won't be able to put music on discs any more and play in my car.   Like I would buy a single from CD Universe instead of having to buy the whole CD for one song and put it on a disc. Can't do that with the mini......

shoot...................  I'm f 'ed every time I think I'm gaining ground. Think the Mini is a good choice for somebody who doesn't game, skype, office stuff, edit stuff, etc.   

I feel sad, though, about losing my downloading music capability.
