Viper Security...Question for the gurus???

HSN is suppose to have the Viper anti-virus for their TS on Monday.

We are at a point where our Norton is going to expire in 30 days and we're getting my son a new desk top for his birthday in a few weeks. My desk top is less than a year old and my other son has a small netbook that's under 2 years old. Norton covers all 3. Are we better off staying with Norton or converting over to something like Viper?
