V31138 ~~ Swivel Outlet/Surge Protector

Has anyone purchased and used these? I wanted to order for my husband's office, but want to be sure that the surge protector part was effective, since one of the items I want to plug in is his computer. One of the reviews indicated that the surge protector did not perform as advertised.
